GMA Network is now gearing up for their new series “The Cure” starring the Kapuso Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado. The said series will also feature her first team up with Tom Rodriguez in a teleserye.
“The Cure” will be the follow-up teleserye of Jennylyn after the short-lived rom-com series “My Love From The Star” with newbie actor Gil Cuerva. It was already announced last 2013 as one of their upcoming shows for that year, however, it was not push through due to managements’ decision.
This will also serve as the reunion project of former love team Jennylyn and Mark Herras. Their last project together was “Rhodora X” back in 2014, where Jennylyn played a woman with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Aside from Jennylyn, Tom and Mark, the new series will also star the award-winning actress Jacklyn Jose together with LJ Reyes, Ken Chan and Arra San Agustin.
It will be directed by the “Encantadia” and “My Korean Jagiya” director Mark Reyes.
